Chopin’s first contact with the piano probably came at home during his early childhood. His mother played the piano and sang, and his father played the flute and the violin. He had an older sister Ludwika, who also showed musical talent from a young age and learned to play the piano. It was probably his sister who first showed Frederic Chopin to play piano.
